    Simultaneous Series' Poll

When these two Series' are over would you prefer to go back to running one Series at a time or stay with this format?
On Wednesdays we currently run events on alternating weeks; this means a two-week break between each Touring Car event and a two-week break between each Grand Touring GT1 event.

Would you like this to change and go back to the way it was where we ran the same series every week?
Or would you prefer to keep the new, alternating format?

Please take the time to let your voice be heard and vote in the poll above.

Thanks on behalf of Baker Built Racing (BBR).

It makes no difference to me, so I'll pass, and go with the majority.

    Re: Simultaneous Series' Poll

I like it, even if I haven't been able to run like I want too. It gives the option of only running one set of races or if you only get every other day in a week off to run what you want. It may not work for all so having a every week race at the same time would likely be a good idea as well.

Thanks for voting in this poll! You, the community have decided that we'll keep our current alternating format. Commiserations to those who voted against it, but this is the fairest way we know how to give you guys a voice.

Season 2 of both series' are being planned as we speak/type.

I almost can't believe that this alternating race thing is so popular.

Since I work on many of the BBR Series' I wanted to remain impartial and not influence the outcome so I didn't vote in the poll. I wasn't really expecting the majority to prefer the simultaneous format but I was wrong. I do think it helps to keep the races "fresh" when the next week's event is a completely different class of car. And I think, to a lesser degree, that it gives more time for drivers to practice and prepare if a particular car or track is a difficult one for them. I can see this format having the most value when the two Series' involved are running cars that have very different levels of speed. In any case, driver's seem to like it at the moment so I'm sure we'll continue with it for the next set of Series'. We'll ask for feed back again later in the next Series to see if people feel the same way.

I like that you guys take the time to see what the racers really want. I can appreciate that. I'm glad to see though that I'm not the only one surprised by the results. I'm not going to knock the system. I don't think it's any secret that I'm not the hugest fan of it, but I can see some benefits from it. From my point of view, I totally agree with having more time to practice. If somebody is really struggling, and they're really trying to get better and race for a championship, then they have the time they need to try and get it done. I think this format makes every series as a whole a bit more casual. And with running all the cars, it's trying to help to keep things fresh for the racers.

For the old format, it keeps you in a car, or a handful of cars for about a month. It's a little more intense knowing that every week you have to be there and do work. It's kind of like nose to the grindstone. I suppose I like that structure. It helps me to keep in tune with my car, and more comfortable with it come race time. Because all of my driving is staying pretty fresh in my head. I like the extra intensity. Glutton for funishment. At this point, I'm just starting to get picky.

Again, I do like how you guys ask the racers what they want, and I'm not complaining here. If it's been taken that way by anyone then you may kindly un-take it that way I appreciate that you guys do what the majority likes, and that keeps it fun. Happy drivers make fast cars. This system isn't going to keep me from racing at all. I'm just trying to express my opinion a little bit.
