If any of you PS4 owners that were waiting to try the PS Plus version of Driver Club would like to try it through Share Play, let me know. I'll be available through the weekend between 1pm and 1-2am.

For sure man. Will be getting this game for Xmas regardless. Even though like we said, I'd want to try the PS Plus version first, that was before we knew PCARS was going to be delayed until March haha!!

I NEED a racing game for my PS4 and DriveClub is the best available until March; beating out The Crew, Need for Speed: Rivals from last year and of course Forza: Horizon 2 on X1. :sHa_thumb2:

Will be pretty hectic this weekend as I'm going to see some live NFL action at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. I'll let you know though.

Thanks for doing this for the community mate! :sHa_thumb2:

    Re: Drive Club... Share Play

Sorry for the late response Duntov.

All in all I'm enjoying it. It still doesn't have all of the features that it was suppose to, but they're working on it.

You must remember that it's an arcade based game.

You can't adjust anything on the cars apart from auto/man transmissions and paint and graphics. The cars are all street cars.

The AI can be a little dirty at times.

The graphics that games can get from the PS4 are a good step above the PS3 and I'm liking that part too.

Take a look over at the Planet for pics and video, http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/board/driveclub/.

You can always try it out through Share Play before purchasing it if you want.

    Re: Drive Club... Share Play

Will be on later tonight my time mate, maybe try to co-ordinate. But if DUNTOV wants a go then that's cool too.

After trying Share Play extensively with Mopar, there's only two issues we discovered. The graphics aren't representative of the actual game and there's a slight input lag.

You're essentially sharing your screen if you're the host, and to the person playing your game via Share Play, the graphics look a little washed out compared to the real thing.

The input lag is very slight but it's enough to throw you off occasionally. I tried Mopar's copy of Infamous: Second Son and it was a little hard to aim with the slight input lag.

Still, it's an awesome feature! Especially for doing stuff like this where people can essentially try before they buy at no extra charge! :sHa_thumb2:

Crazy crash avoidance earlier today in DriveClub!

On a side note - the above video doesn't come anywhere close to how amazing the graphics are in this game. The 458 Speciale handles real nice, too! :sHa_biggrin:

    Re: Drive Club... Share Play

A selection of intense videos of me driving in Driveclub.

The graphics look better than this when playing the game so these videos hardly do the game justice (they're 720p, the game is 1080p for instance), but prepare to gawp at the best visuals ever seen in a driving game. Watch in HD or it's not worth it! :sHa_thumb2:

Sorry if the driving skills are poor in the videos. I hadn't had a lot of practice with these car and track combos!

Note: All these videos were recorded before the recent graphics updates and upgrades. Yes, they managed to make the game look even better recently!

Also, I made a TPRA livery a while back for the TPRA Club in the game:

This game is half simulator, half arcade! And it's very, very underrated! One of the best driving games! :sHa_biggrin:

Driveclub PS Plus Edition Out Tomorrow (it's free)

The best looking racing game ever made with the best weather effects ever made will be free to all PS Plus members with a PS4 tomorrow! Get in on the excitement! :sHa_biggrin: And don't forget to join the TPRA's Club when they turn online on later in the week!

The TPRA Club's colour scheme in Driveclub:

This is what I hope GT Sport looks like (watch in 720p HD):

Both videos show me driving the brand-new 2016 Mercedes-AMG S 65 Coupe. The first video shows the exterior view and the second shows the interior view in the rain; showing off the best weather effects ever seen in a racing game.

DRIVECLUB sets the benchmark for graphics in not just racing games, but video games overall. In my opinion, this is the best looking video game ever made. Like Gran Turismo, it is a PlayStation exclusive and is built ground-up for the PS4.

The videos above frankly do not do it justice. If you want to experience it for yourself, DRIVECLUB PlayStation Plus Edition is free to all PS Plus members! :sHa_biggrin:

Gran Turismo is famous for setting new standards in the graphics department, but after watching the GT Sport trailer, it looks like Kaz and his team have some work to do. I'll keep my opinions reserved until we see the game running but DRIVECLUB will be very difficult to match! :sHa_okay:

Hardcore mode is coming next month! No traction control, no stability control and no ABS! This is great news for those that see the game as too much on the arcade side. While it doesn't have the physics model of P CARS or Assetto Corsa, this new Hardcode mode will bring the game a lot closer to the sim side of the arcade/simulation meter. Being able to turn these options off will make the game a lot more realistic!

A video of the new mode:

    Re: Drive Club... Share Play

DRIVECLUB VR has been officially announced!

This game is a major milestone because it is the first driving game that will utilise PSVR and will start the ball rolling on PSVR and its collaboration with driving games. :sHa_thumb2:

If you're looking into getting PSVR (in which case you must have preordered it already, because you aren't getting one if you haven't) then this will be your only route into playing a driving game in virtual reality. :sHa_okay:

Maybe Gran Turismo will follow suit but we've heard nothing regarding GTS and PSVR as of yet. An update to GTS perhaps? It would have to be a pretty substantial update because you don't just "add" VR to a game, it has to be woven into it. :sCo_chinscratch:
