I was kinda questioning because the post supposedly disappeared soon after it appeared.

I checked after I posted here and discovered the announcement had reappeared.

    So, nevermind. :)

43+GB Download. Wanted just over 60 free before it would start download.

About 8 hours estimated... Sheesh. It may speed up, maybe.

I suspect the FULL game will be over 100GB.
If you Haven't already upgraded your PS4's HD, now is the time to do it.

On the Pro, there is an Extra USB 3.0 jack on the Back.
you can plug in an external USB HD - Like a Passport, and then set that as External game storage.
( External Game storage MUST be Directly connected, you can't use a HUB. )
The PS4 will then Format it, and put all new games on that.
You can control where the game is stored. by using the option button.
    I've got a 5TB external that I'm using..

But, Honestly, doing the internal HD upgrade isn't that difficult.

If you Intend to Keep all your Games....
then you Need a 2nd USB drive to do a Full back up on..
this drive should be formatted as a FAT32 drive.
You'll need a 3rd party format program to do that, because windows won't let you format a drive in Fat32 beyond a certain size.
Plug it in, and make a backup

You need a 2.5 Sata drive.
I got a 2TB internal drive. On the Standard PS4, the Left side, Shiny cover just slides off to the Left.
Use the Palm of your Hand and give it a quick little push.
Then there is One Philips head screw, and that's it.
slide the Old one out, Swap the cage ( 4 screws )
    Slide the New one In..

put the cover back on. Done...

the Hardest part is what comes next..

you have to log on to the PSN, and Download the FULL SIZED update file on to a USB drive.
Plug that in, connect a DS4 controller by Cable.
    And boot up the PS4.

Follow the prompts to do the UPdate.

If you made a backup, then do a restore.

You must be disappointed. I was able to get mine (CSWV2) going pretty well with the Drivehub, had to adjust it as a 900 degree wheel and tweak FFB and spring force. I wish I could find a way to figure easily the mapping of my wheel compared to the G29 but I'LL figure it all out someday, for now I found what I need the most. No pedal rumble though, hopfully it will all work as it should soon.

Go ahead, rub salt into my wounds...:p
by the time my Drive Hub arrives, the Open Beta will be Over !

Ahh, but the Wheel function but with very, very little FFB...
So I just turned up the stiffness a bit, and it's usable...
I set my Sen to 54 ( 540 degrees ) Works very good at that value.

We had some good racing tonight, but there was an issue that cropped up.

Here is my Experience from that race.
Based on what we know about servers QOS ( LAG ) it does not shock me anymore that one drivers game experience could be vastly different from that of another's.

if you go to Youtube, the comment I left has clickable time marks to jump to that portion of the video.

@0:58 to @1:30 this is the start and the only time Driver and I were close on track..
@1:22 Driver does make contact with me, but other than that I had no contact with that driver.

Then a @2:50 driver starts going on about Me running him off track.
I'm in 3rd, driver is near the back.
I'm no where close to driver. I'm getting passed by Pepper and I'm now in 4th.

Then @10:45 Driver and Another Car POP in front of me from out of nowhere.

If Driver is talking about the Start of the race between 0:58 and 1:30, Then Yes,
Our Driving experience could have been different based on Server QOS issues. ( lag ) that is the only portion of the race that we were in close quarters, The Drivers on Screen Experience could be Different than that of my On Screen experience was.

@1:22, if I didn't know Driver better, I'd say that hit from underneath While I was taking the corner was deliberate.
But I know this driver well enough to know he wouldn't do something like that.

PS: the Video is Unlisted, so only members from here can use the link to view it.

    BOP
this is why we need to use BOP when we race...
in the Same Video above, @0:12 I captured the car settings of the drivers.
One Car, has a huge advantage in the list. 433 HP and and only 2350 lbs

the cars might all be from the same class, but without using BOP
    they are still unevenly matched.

you have to Select BOP when you make the LOBBY, you can't turn it on later.

The incident that I was talking about did start at 1:08 on your video where you were off line on the inside and you dived for the inside corner of the left hand turn and i had to change my line and I give plenty of racing room for you to make it through the corner, now I did expect the same courtesy at the next corner where I was unceremoniously slammed into as i was at the corner of the the right hander. This was at 0:34 on my video, I made no sudden movements just holding my line and then the purple car makes the sudden right into my car. Now I do recall saying after the left hander "I hope you give me space like I gave you". Why cant I hear my voice on your video? (even before you say "I'm no where near you")

I do get rattled when I'm taken out when it appears that a driver is completely oblivious to people around them.

Later on in the video I do see some kind of lag starting at 8:18 in my video where it appears you went straight into the wall, but you say you didn't .

In your Video starting at 0:25
Notice the Line the Two Cars ahead of me take on the corner.
Outside, and then in to the Apex of the corner.

Go back and watch my Video of the same corner...
It was my Line to Take,
I looked my rear view mirror, you were behind me, I braked and turned in for the corner.
I turned in to hit the apex, you put yourself there.

Was that your attempt at an Unsafe Pass?
That was up to you to NOT be in that Position.

here is the 12 second clip from my video of that corner.

In the Party Chat, you have to set a Chat option to Allow your chat to be recorded.
Otherwise, your Voice is NOT recorded by other Chat Members Video's.

Well I completely disagree as any true racer would know, I was on race line and had to slow up for you to make it safely through the left hander, knowing previous incidents if I were take the corner without slowing up for you diving for the inside you would taken me out at that corner.

Anyhow I'll solve the problem by never entering a room when I know you're entered and leave if you enter, that's the only way I know I won't have yet another incident with you.

ALL my concerns about offline play economy concerns are taken care of very nicely in the Arcade mode. Any Car - Any Track, looks fully customizable, or as much so as you'd need to make your own campaign mode as in previous versions. I withdraw any concerns I had previously had. I'll have this one in active play as long as I own a PS4. Looking forward to the 17th.

Anybody else sees it like I see it ? Wyld is in front, follows is driving line, the car following should have let him pass in my book. But at the end: What a drama for so little.

After watching Two recorded videos of the same race
I have came to the conclusion, that we Each drive in our Own version of the race.
The Server Decides, what happens with the Other drivers, in relation to ours.

My Version of the Race is pretty much 90% different than that of the Other's Race.

    Example, Lap 6, I'm in 3rd place.
an Orange car is off into the sand, I go around the corner,
In my rear view, I see two other cars go off into the sand in that Same Corner.
I round the corner and onto the straight
and then, Poof, two cars appear out of no where in front of me.
The same ones that ran off into the sand.

From the Other members video of that same corner.
He see me crash in the same spot as the Orange car.
He never runs off track in that corner, as I saw in my Mirror..
He passes me, and heads down the straight.

Then Poof, in his rear view mirror, my car appears.

Each of Our's on track experience is not the same as anyone else.
If the server puts another car next to you, that isn't really there, or isn't that close.
you can't fault the other driver, as his driving experience might not be the same as yours.

    I have a 50/5 connection ( it's the Fastest I can get where I'm at. )
my Ping to the PSN is under 15ms

I know the other Driver has a faster connection, and probably a similar or better ping to the PSN.

    So I don't think it's our Service.
It has to be how PDI's servers are handling and sharing the Data of the cars on track.

On occasion, I see a single car make an Abrupt position change. ( I call that a lag spike. )
Not very often, but I do notice it.

One driver in particular, located in Indonesia, seem to Jump around a bit more than others.

but How do we know? Did that Guy really run me off track, Did he really Slam into me from behind.
Did he Under cut me in that last corner?
Is it really worth getting so upset over?

Or should we just get on with it, and enjoy the comradery of racing with like minded friends.
I mean after all, we all know each other well enough to know that no one is doing this deliberately.

    some interesting evaluations:

Here is my race through that corner on lap 6. Watch my Mirror
I make the corner, and in my Mirror they run off into the sand.

3 frames after i'm on the Straight. Poof.

Now here is His view of that same corner. He Sees Me run off into the sand. But' I've already gone around that Corner.

and then after He is on the Straight, poof watch his Mirror. This must be the same time, when the Server Dropped his car in front of Me.

I saw the same thing as you. I say we have to learn to compromise as the servers don't always work the way they should. We have seen a lot of those spikes, frustrating as they are, we have to live with them. Lets hope that it will be less of them in the future.
