    Monday Night Racing

    Date and time: Monday 24 @ 7:30, racing @ 8 Eastern

Assetto Corsa has some cars that aren't in other simulators and the Praga R1 is one that I have never seen before. With a little over 200 HP, it is an easy car to handle even in stock form. The tracks that I chose vary in length, but the Barcelona GP track is just long enough to wind up the car.

    Car: Praga R1
Tracks: Highlands Short (20); Magione (12); Barcelona GP (10), repeated as necessary

Please join us for some great racing!

P.S. Is it better to just update the top post here or post new posts for each event. At the PSN, it was better to both, once to trigger a new post and also to make it easy to find the details in one familiar spot.

There is no difference on our side either way.

Go with what you prefer, this is your place, do as you see fit. :)

I'd go with both. Or the main details at the top post, with a notice of a new event in body. ("Top post updated.")

It was great racing. Wish I could have stayed longer.

That Praga was a fun, well liked, easy to manage car. I think all of the races started with a full lobby, too.

It was my intention to have a different kind of special team event, next Monday, but there aren't enough active drivers to make it work, but a request came in for some endurance races, so I will work on that. Maybe two or three of them.

    Special Endurance Races

    Date: July 31
    Time: Doors open 7:30, racing @ 8PM

By request, we have two different 45-minute endurance races to run this week. One will be on a long track, the other one will be relatively short. One will be any GT3 car, the other will be one-make. The lobbies will be open because most interlopers will probably drop out soon enough.

    Race 1
Lotus Evora GX @ Highlands Long, 11 laps

    Race 2
Any GT3 car @ Red Bull GP, 30 laps

    Monday Night Racing

    Date: Monday, August 7, @ 7:30 Eastern

Car: AUDI Sport quattro (pick the basic model)
Tracks: Brands Hatch Indy (16 laps); Monza 1966 - Jr (15 laps); Nurburgring Sprint (GT) (9 laps)

The quattro is not an easy car to manage. You need to pick your tires and adjust pressures. The 4WD system needs tuning (add preload). You will get some understeer, plus you don't have full tuning control of the suspension.

The chosen tracks will challenge the driver, too, because of the car and its limitations.

This week we will test Assetto Corsa's environment temperature. The ambient temperature will be set to the coldest, 10*C.

By request, the car of the day is the Porsche 911 RSR 2017. It is a tame handling car versus the other RSR. The car has full tuning available, too.

Tracks were chosen, for the most part, to let the car get up to speed: Barcelona Moto (9 laps); Imola (9 laps); Black Cat County - Long (6 laps).
